Selma E. Fox, MBA

Selma is senior vice president in Wachovia's Business Banking Group
where she is responsible for building a national strategy that will
position Wachovia as the premier provider of financial services
to women-owned businesses. Her responsibilities include developing
sales and service approaches, marketing and communications programs
to serve women entrepreneurs. She is also responsible for building
partnerships with organizations focused on educating and serving
women entrepreneurs. Her top priorities include building meaningful
banking relationships and providing greater access to financial
information, products and services for women business owners.
Selma joined Wachovia in 2004 from Transamerica Reinsurance where
she served as vice president of marketing and strategic planning.
In this role, she was responsible for creating and executing business-to-business
marketing, advertising and communication strategies targeting large
retail life insurance companies. She worked closely with account
managers in developing sales and delivery strategies.
Before her work with Transamerica she was employed with Hoechst
Celanese as director of strategic planning and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco
Company as controller.
She holds an M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management
at Wake Forest University and an undergraduate degree in accounting
from North Carolina Central University.
Selma currently serves on the board of directors for Women Executives
of Charlotte, national advisory board of Enterprising Women and
the Women Presidents' Organization.
