Nora Linville
Nora L. Linville was named Director of Women's Sales and Marketing
at American Airlines in March 2006. She is responsible for leading
the company's efforts to target the women's consumer market and
ultimately increase brand awareness. Linville previously served as Manager of Corporate and Travel Agency Sales where she was responsible for formulating policies and procedures and promoting the travel agency and corporate travel department distribution channels. She also represented American Airlines on industry panels and task forces to develop recommendations for forward strategy. Since joining the company in 1986 as a reservations supervisor, Linville has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in several departments including reservations, human resources and passenger sales. During her twenty years with American, Linville participated in the review and change of non-refundable fare rules at American Airlines to allow customers to cancel and reuse their tickets. She also developed and implemented streamlined ticketing procedures for American Airlines Travel Agent promotional fares. Linville earned the designation of Certified Travel Counselor (CTC), the travel agent industry's highest standard of professional knowledge and commitment. She was profiled in the Travel Institute's Leading Women in Travel feature and served on the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Aviation Committee as well as the Airlines Reporting Corporation Joint Advisory Board. Linville currently serves as a member of the Women's Leadership Exchange Multicultural Advisory Board, the eWomenNetwork Foundation Advisory Council, and the Enterprising Women Magazine National Advisory Board. A native of Illinois, Linville attended the University of Illinois
and Wheaton College. She resides in Bedford, Texas. |
