WPO Facilitators are carefully selected by headquarters to ensure
that we are providing the most appropriate and dedicated leadership
for our members.
WPO Facilitators are:
- Professionally-trained twice a year
- Women with significant insight into small business & entrepreneurship
- Recognized & influential in their local business community
- Committed to supporting women in business
- Hired consultants to the WPO - not volunteers
- Moderating & leading the local sessions
Facilitator responsibilities include:
- Planning & implementing the monthly agenda (with input &
guidance from chapter members)
- Moderating & leading the local sessions
- Inviting guest experts
- Recruiting new members
- Working with HQ to secure local press & host local events
Facilitator Profiles
Mindy
Goodfriend - New York I, New York II, Platinum I
Mindy has been affiliated with the WPO since its inception in 1996.
She has 20 years of entrepreneurship experience from owning companies
in a variety of industries, including real estate, design and telecommunications.
She is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Owners and Presidents
Management (OPM) Program and is currently utilizing her experience
in consumer products in her new company, Cool
& Useful Products LLC. Common to all of her ventures is
a focus on customers, strong teams and collaboration, innovation,
and profitability.
Christy
Martin - Seattle, Bellevue WA
Christy has been affiliated with the WPO since 1998. Her business
is compensation consulting: helping clients work through issues
pertaining to paying and rewarding employees and then designing
pay approaches that fit the client's business strategy. She specializes
in compensation philosophy, compensation strategy, sales compensation
and executive compensation.
Yvonne
Campos - Pittsburgh
Yvonne has been affiliated with the WPO since 2001. She has over
20 years of experience designing, strategizing and implementing
market research for local, national, international corporations,
and professional institutions and organizations and is nationally
recognized as a focus group moderator with group dynamic skills
that encompass one-on-one interviews, moderator training sessions,
panel presentations and guest lecturing.
Tracy Myers - San Diego
Tracy Myers co-founded The Art Institute of California in 1981.
The private, accredited college specializes in creative curricula
such as degree programs in digital arts, graphic design and advertising.
Over the years, the school has won numerous local and national awards
for its student design work, and has received many awards for community
service. Tracy has since gone from WPO member to WPO facilitator
and loves it! Tracy is now doing all the creative and fun, right-brained
activities she never had time to do while running a company!
