ATTIRE:

What is the dress code for the Conference?
Attire for the majority of Conference events will be business casual. Saturday morning is casual. If you plan on attending the morning Jazzercise workshops you should take exercise clothing.

What will the weather be like in Ft. Lauderdale in April?
The average temperature in April in Ft. Lauderdale is 74°F (23°C) with a high of 83°F (28°C) and low of 65°F (18°C).

There will also be a separate ticketing charge of $20.00 USD per ticket for tickets purchased via the phone or $30.00 USD per ticket for tickets purchased at the airport. This amount is subject to change. At this time there is no ticketing fee for reservations made and ticketed on www.AA.com. The percentage discount can be booked on-line at www.AA.com for American Airlines and American Eagle flights only.

How do I rent a car in the area?
Avis Rental Car has extended a special rate for WPO conference guests.
The Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) Number is D087312. Please use this AWD number when calling Avis directly at 1-888-754-8878 to receive the best possible car rental rates available.

Attractive Options for Travelers - Ask your Sales Representative if these are available in your meeting city!
• Pre-Paid Gas - purchase your first tank of gas at reasonable rates and return the vehicle empty
• Where2 by Garmin - gives point to point directions with screen or voice capability
• Avis Connect - a portable WiFi device that allows up to 10 individuals to have wireless computer access.

Hotel Parking at the Westin Beach Resort is valet only and costs $25 per day.

How do I get to and from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport?
The Westin is approximately 15-20 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

By Taxi: A ride from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport to the Westin Beach Resort ranges from $20 to $25 dollars (approximate). Taxis are curbside at the airport terminal.

Driving Directions

From Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL):
• Exit the airport on Terminal Drive.
• Follow signs to merge onto Route 1 North toward Fort Lauderdale and continue for about 2.5 miles.
• Turn right onto SE 17th Street and continue for about 3.5 miles (for the last mile or so you'll be driving along the ocean).
• The resort will be located on your left.

Approximately 15 minutes

From Miami International Airport (MIA):
• Exit the airport, following signs for Route 112 East.
• Merge onto Route 112 East and continue for about 4 miles.
• Take the exit for Interstate 95 North, then continue on I-95 North for about 24 miles.
• Take Exit 29A for Sunrise Boulevard / Route 838.
• Merge right onto Sunrise Boulevard and continue for about 5 miles (all the way to the ocean).
• Turn right (south) onto State Road A1A / Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard and continue for about 1.5 miles.
• The resort will be located on your right.

Approximately 50 minutes

Directions Driving From the North:
• Travel on Interstate 95 South.
• Take Exit 29 for Sunrise Boulevard / Route 838.
• At the traffic light, turn left (east) onto Sunrise Boulevard and continue for about 5 miles (all the way to the ocean).
• Turn right (south) onto State Road A1A / Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard and continue for about 1.5 miles.
• The resort will be located on your right.

Approximately 15 minutes after exiting I-95 Directions

Driving From the West:
• Travel on Interstate 75 East, which will turn into Interstate 595 East.
• Take Exit 12B (toward Fort Lauderdale) to merge onto Route 1 North and continue for about 2 miles.
• Turn right onto SE 17th Street and continue for about 3.5 miles (for the last mile or so you'll be driving along the ocean).
• The resort will be located on your left.

• Travel on Interstate 95 North.

The spa is open daily from 9am to 7pm. For prices and additional details, or to make an appointment, please call the spa reservation desk at (954) 245-3040. In-house guests can simply dial 3040 from any resort phone.

The spa is a completely new, expansive 6,500 square-foot space and features:
• Separate men’s and women’s Jacuzzis
• Steam rooms
• Comfortable locker rooms

PLEASE NOTE: Advance reservations are encouraged (ideally 5-7 days ahead) to ensure that your preferred treatment or therapist is available. However, day-of bookings and walk-ins are always welcome, based on availability. All reservations must be secured with a major credit card and telephone number. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, the spa requests at least 24 hours’ notice or the full amount for the scheduled service will be charged. Full fees also apply to no-shows and late arrivals, and late arrivals may also result in a shorter treatment time.

Fitness Center
The Westin Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale offers guests 24-hour access to the 1,425 square-foot Westin WORKOUT gym. Towels and headphones are also provided.

Facilities include:

How do I make a reservation at the conference hotel?
Please do not make a hotel reservation unless you are registered for the Conference (Click here to access online conference registration).

Once you register for the conference on the WPO conference web site, please call the Starwood reservation number at (888) 627-7108 and reference “WPO” to access our discounted rate of $219 per night, plus 6% state tax and 5% occupancy tax. This rate is guaranteed if booked by the cut-off date, March 26, 2010 and can only be applied to Tuesday, April 20 – Saturday, April 24, 2010.

If I want to stay at the hotel before or after the conference, can I extend my room reservation at the special conference rate?

If you would like to extend your stay beyond the dates of the conference, please contact our dedicated WPO Reservation Agent, Adrienne Russo 954.245.3856 or adrienne.russo@starwoodhotels.com). If rooms are available, the discounted WPO Group Rate will be extended to you.

REGISTRATION FAQS:

Do I need to sign up for specific workshops?
General workshop sessions do not require pre-registration EXCEPT the Caliper workshop, which is limited to 50 attendees per session. A separate registration email will be sent to sign up for the Caliper workshop. Please note, if a workshop room hits the maximum capacity, additional attendees will not be admitted.

How old does my daughter have to be to attend the Conference?
The Conference is appropriate for daughters who are old enough to comprehend the content (recommended in junior high school or above). Please note that adult daughters of any age are welcome, as are mothers. Please remember to register your mother/daughter(s) on our registration website. The cost per mother/daughter is the $325 hospitality fee (no registration fee necessary).

Do I need to register my guest who will only be attending Friday evening or Saturday morning?
Yes, please register your guest on our registration website and pay the hospitality fee of $100.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
Cancellations on or before Monday, March 22, 2010 will receive a $225.00 US refund; no refunds in any amount will be issued after this date.
